No Snow Days?

Inclement weather, such as snow or ice, has traditionally meant schools would be closed and students could enjoy a “snow day.” However, on Dec. 17 and 18, school was still in session, although it was virtually.

This was “normal” for most students in the county, as they were already learning virtually, but this was strange for small group programs, such as some special education programs, PRIDE, BEST, Gateway/Crossroads, and Career and Technology Center.

But snow days are not gone forever. CCPS stated “we anticipate for a number of logistical and safety reasons that once we return to the hybrid model of instruction with significant numbers of students and staff in-person, that we will likely need to utilize snow days as we traditionally have.”
