On March 24, the Carroll County Education Association will be volunteering for Read Across Maryland Day festivities.

Read Across Maryland Day is a day that promotes reading to elementary school students. Books will be given to every elementary school student and there will even be fun activities and food for the kids.

Ms. Carver is hosting and setting up this event. She is looking for volunteers to help organize and run activities, which will allow students to earn service hours. The festivities will take place at the Carroll County Career & Technology Center.

If students decide to volunteer they would be reading to students, serving breakfast, helping to give out books, and helping with other activities such as face painting.
