Nominate a Teacher Today!

Riece Baldwin, B. Borden, and N. Flagg

Teachers work extremely hard, especially this year with virtual and hybrid learning, and many teachers go out of their way to make sure students have a good learning experience.

From Dec. 2, 2020 to Jan. 15, 2021, Carroll County Public Schools teachers can be nominated for an Outstanding Teacher Award (OTA) which is awarded by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Anyone can nominate a teacher for any reason and there is no limit on how many teachers you may nominate.*

Eight of the 22 teachers from Gateway/Crossroads were recipients of last year’s Outstanding Teacher Awards.

If you are interested in nominating your favorite outstanding Gateway/Crossroads teacher(s), complete the award nomination entry form.

* Any FULL-TIME teacher may be nominated for an OTA. School counselors, former CCPS TOTY (Teacher of the Year) winners, and teachers who’ve been in the profession of education for less than 5 years are not qualified for TOTYA. Most teachers are nominated for going above and beyond with their teaching, making people actually feel accomplished with their work, support with things like classwork or emotional support, or even just being a nice teacher to have in class.
