We blinked twice and before we knew it, it was the end of March! Celebrating random holidays can bring small bursts of joy and fun into someone’s average day. It can bring excitement and possibly could make someone smile.
March 2025 had some very special days planned for us to celebrate. National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day and National Pig Day appeared on March 1, for a wonderful grand opening to the month.
There are tons of different ways to celebrate these holidays and maybe create a new family tradition.
For National Peanut Butter Day, fall in love with a new peanut butter, try peanut butter and apples, or bake something that involves peanut butter in the recipe.
For National Pig Day, you can appreciate the adorable animal and what it does for us. According to one of the creators of the day, National Pig Day is celebrated “to accord to the pig its rightful, though generally unrecognized, place.”
Some of the more known holidays in March are Mardi Gras, appearing on March 4, and St. Patrick’s Day, appearing on March 17.
Mardi Gras, also known as “Fat Tuesday,” is a festive day celebrated in France and other places, marking the end of the pre-Lenten season with parades, music, and revelry, and historically, it was a time to consume rich foods before the period of atonement during Lent.
St. Patrick’s Day is, a religious and cultural holiday that commemorates the death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and celebrates Irish culture and heritage. Many people have traditions of hunting for leprechauns or eating tons of green sweets and gold chocolate coins.
March is full of fun holidays and can bring happiness and cheer to those around us. If you happen to be bored one day, try and figure out if there is a random fun holiday event next month!
